To create temporary dreadlocks, you will need a hair iron, hair gel, hair clips, rat-tail comb, conditioner, and shampoo. To start with, you need to condition and wash your hair then allow it to dry naturally. With the use of rat-tail comb, divide the hair into sections and clip every section into even portions not bigger than a square inch.
The number of clips to be on the hair sections will depend both on the length and thickness of your hair. Afterwards, take a section of your hair next to the neck and covered it lightly with hair gel. This section should be twisted leaving about 2-3 inches of untwisted hair next to the head. The twist can be done as tight as you can while the hair gels hold it in place.
