Hair Conditioning

January 12th, 2010

As part of our common hair care routine, many of us follow our shampoo with a conditioner. Conditioner helps restore essential moisture and nutrients to hair, making it moisturized, glossy and more manageable. While conditioner can offer great profit to your hair, if you select the wrong conditioner, you could end up with limp, lifeless hair. Knowing how to choose the good conditioner and how to suitably apply conditioner is essential to hair health. For centuries, both men and women have turned to various hair products to help them improve their appearance. After the discovery of the hair cleanser known as shampoo, the general public clamored for a product that can soften hair more effectively. Since then, various improvements were made from the original formula, and hair conditioning has become part of the beauty regimen of many around the world.

Hair Conditioning Benefits

Using conditioner on hair has many profits, beyond making it more manageable and softer to the touch. Because hair can be exposed to a variety of damaging scenarios, such as excessive moisture, sweat, UV radiation, humidity, and others, there is a need to protect it through deep hair conditioning. Deep hair conditioning also moisturizes the scalp, preventing dandruff and allowing hair to develop healthily.

Hair Conditioning Tips

  • In case your hair is oily, make sure to apply conditioner simply on the ends.
  • Protein-rich conditioners work best on damaged hair.
  • After apply the conditioner, do not forget to comb your hair and distribute it equally on your hair.
  • Wash your head with shampoo, then gently wring out your hair or stain it with towel and then apply the conditioner.
